The Breakers still managed to pull in the fans despite their poor performance in the Australian National Basketball League (ANBL) this season.
Attendance figures released by the ANBL today show the Breakers filled more seats at their home games this season with an average of 2648 attending compared to 2384 for the 2003/04 season.
Overall 42,371 people went to the Breakers home games, an increase of just over 2000, as the Breakers finished last with nine wins from 32 games.
Attendances at all games increased by nearly 10 per cent with Townsville attracting the most home support with over 80,000 fans turning up.
