Basketball: Pepper most valuable

The Breakers' Most Valuable Player for the 2005-06 season is centre Ben Pepper. Pepper averaged 14.6 points per game plus 10.2 rebounds and 1.25 blocks, his total of 446 points from 32 games second only to Aaron Olson.

Benchman Mika Vukona won the Players' Player Award at the franchise's awards at Trusts Stadium last night. Vukona scored an average 5.78 points and took 7.47 rebounds per game.

Import Rich Melzer was voted Fan's Choice for the style in which he scored an average 18.6 points per game.
