Basketball: Lemanis new coach of Breakers

Townsville Crocodiles assistant coach Andrej Lemanis was today named as new coach of the Australian National Basketball League side the New Zealand Breakers.

Lemanis beat off a short list of candidates that included Tall Blacks coach Tab Baldwin and Baldwin's assistant Nenad Vucinic.

He replaces Frank Arsego, whose term ended with the Breakers' bottom place finish in the ANBL last month.

Lemanis has been appointed to a two-year term with an option for a third year.
