Breakers guard Kerron Johnson is rated a good chance of suiting up for tonight's clash with Melbourne at the NSEC but will be given the warm up to confirm his readiness.
The American injured a shoulder in last week's win over the Crocodiles and has sat out some of the team practice sessions this week but, with no serious injury found in scans yesterday, he is likely to be included against the fourth-placed Tigers.
Regardless, coach Dean Vickerman is confident he has the depth in his guard roster to cope in any situation, with Corey Webster, CJ Bruton and Daryl Corletto all able to play more minutes if required, and Webster and Bruton likely candidates to occupy the point guard role if required.
"We will give Kerron until the last moment to make sure he is ready, but all indications are he will be fine,'' Vickerman said. "If not, we will concentrate on who we have available and know that each player on this roster is capable of doing a great job for the team in whatever role they are asked to play.
"It is the nature of this competition that teams are going to have periods in the season when you are having to overcome a few niggling injuries, that is the test of depth and I have every faith in this group to get the job done.''
