The Townsville Crocodiles cemented their top five placing in the Australian NBL with a 111-95 over the NZ Breakers last night. It was the Breakers' fifth straight loss.
The Crocs led 36-20 after the first quarter but the Breakers came back to win the next period 31-24.
The Breakers top player Carlos Powell was a marked man but still managed to score 29 points. Despite a couple of three pointers from Brian Wethers and Oscar Forman, defence let the Breakers down, the Crocs leading 84-71 at the three quarter mark.
