KEY POINTS:
The Breakers' four game road trip in basketball's ANBL is off to the worst possible start.
The Breakers have been beaten 102-80 by the Perth Wildcats, after getting off to a horror start and trailing 56-31 at half-time.
Coach Andrej Lemanis says Perth plays a very physical and aggressive style of basketball, and after being outplayed physically in the first half, the road back was just too long.
He says they muscled up well in the second half and in the third quarter they pulled the deficit back to within 12 or 15 points.
He believes if they had just scored one or two more baskets it may have turned the match around.
Lemanis is searching for positives from the 22 point loss, and is pleased with the efforts of three of his players.
Brian Wethers top scored for the Breakers with 25 points, while Lemanis believes Paul Henare did a great job keeping a check on Shawn Redhage, and Aaron Olson performed well defensively.
The side now travels to Singapore and face the Slingers on Wednesday.
Singapore has warmed up with a first away win of the season, 110-84 over Wollongong.
