The Breakers' starting five will be far from alone when they take the court against Illawarra for this week's double-header.
The Kiwi club will be wearing a specially-commissioned heritage singlet for the clashes with the Hawks, with the names of all 84 players who have represented the Breakers across 13 seasons incorporated into the design.
The colours are also a reflection of the New Zealand heritage and influence in the club, with a primarily black and white template a testament to the proud links to the Tall Blacks and New Zealand sport.
Assistant coach Paul Henare presented the singlet to fellow foundation player Mika Vukona before the team departed for Illawarra for Thursday night's game, with both clubs then returning across the Tasman for another joust on Sunday at Vector Arena.
"This club is more than just the here and now, more than just this group of players who will wear this singlet on Thursday night," Henare said. "The players named on this singlet have all contributed to the Breakers and helped make us who we are today.
