The New Zeland Breakers have a fully fit roster to choose from ahead of Sunday's ANBL game against the Sydney Kings acros the Tasman.
The team has trained well again this week, buoyed by their return to form in the 100 - 79 thumping of the Gold Coast Blaze last week. Kevin Braswell was the only injury concern this week as he looked to recover fully from a wrist injury that has troubled him for the past two weeks, but Coach Andrej Lemanis says his point guard is back to full fitness.
"The entire roster is fit and well and Kevin is suffering no after effects of the knock to his wrist and will be 100% on Sunday," said Lemanis after training today.
"Sydney has got some guys coming back from injury and a new import, they'll have more excitement and have reinvigorated themselves, but with new guys coming in they maybe can't run the complicated sets.
"On the game plan it is no different for us, we will play how we play, up tempo and disruptive defensively. We need to deal with Julian Khazzouh in the post and we need to get out and run to put pressure on their defensive transition."
Experienced forward Dillon Boucher is also expecting a revitalised Kings team on Sunday from the one that the Breakers defeated 83 - 70 on opening weekend, all the more so with the addition of American Patrick 'The Colonel' Sanders.
"Sydney is coming in with a poor record but has signed a new American who will play Friday night against Gold Coast so while he will get some court time for them; it also means we will be able to see him play. That'll change the dynamics of their team but Julian Khazzouh is the dominant player so our main focus will be to slow him down.
"As for us, the team is feeling good having had a long period of training and time to get ourselves where we need to be and carry on the momentum from Thursday's game."
