The Breakers have been beaten 132-98 by the Bullets in Brisbane overnight. They now sit three wins behind the eighth-placed Singapore Slingers with just two games to play.
Singapore moved to 13 wins with a 114-100 win over the South Dragons.
It was Brisbane's 15th straight victory and the second loss in a row for the Breakers.
Carlos Powell was the game's top scorer with 21 while Aaron Olson added 20 points.
New Zealand's final home game is on Thursday night against the bottom of the table Razorbacks.
