The Breakers flew to Melbourne yesterday without bench forward AJ Majstrovich, who has again succumbed to a badly bruised knee.
Majstrovich played 20 minutes against Perth on Friday night but just five on Sunday after jarring aggravated the problem that has kept him out of several games.
Brent Charleton is his replacement against the Tigers tonight and the Hunter Pirates on Sunday.
The team were looking forward to a six-day road trip as time to assimilate their new import Brian Green and get their communication right and the game plan organised.
The Tigers have a 12-4 record this season and have won six in a row.
Breakers coach Andrej Lemanis favours them to win the title.
"Usually you can pinpoint areas to attack, but the Tigers have no weaknesses," Lemanis said.
"They have all the bases covered: good shooters, big men who rebound well, athletic guys who run all day and a defence that is stifling.
"They get their hands on a lot of shots and force their opponents into shooting low percentages."
* The ANBL has reappointed the same two coaches from 2004 to take the 2005 All-Star Game on December 27, only this time they swap sides.
The Kings' Brian Goorjian coached the World Team last year and lost to Adelaide's Phil Smyth.
This year Smyth gets the World team and Goorjian the Aussies.
