KEY POINTS:
The misery continues for the New Zealand Breakers, who lost 103-98 to the Wollongong Hawks in New South Wales last night to further harm their Australian National Basketball League hopes.
The Breakers' seventh loss in eight games sees them remain in third place but now with virtually no chance of a top-two finish which would provide a bye through the first round of the playoffs.
Instead they have fourth-placed Townsville Crocodiles breathing down their necks with just three games remaining.
After leading by seven midway through the first quarter, the Breakers lost their rhythm and found themselves down 45-53 at halftime.
They play the Adelaide 36ers in Adelaide tonight.
