Basketball: Breakers lose again

The New Zealand Breakers have slumped to back-to-back road losses in the Australian National Basketball League.

Three days after their disappointing loss to the Melbourne Tigers, the Breakers have been beaten 80-76 by the Adelaide 36ers in South Australia.

Kirk Penney and Rick Rickert top scored for the Breakers with 18 points, while Adelaide forward Adam Ballinger led all scorers with 22 points.

Meanwhile, the Cairns Taipans have thrashed the Perth Wildcats 89-71 in their game in north Queensland.
