Basketball: Breakers chase impact player

The Burger King Breakers are looking at bolstering their squad in an attempt to boost their Australian National Basketball League playoff hopes.

Breakers swingman Tom Abercrombie is facing four to six weeks on the sidelines with strained ankle ligaments.

Breakers coach Andrej Lemanis says they are considering bringing in a short-term replacement for Abercrombie. He says they have to make a move before Thursday as all players must play seven games to be eligible for the playoffs.

Lemanis is keeping tightlipped about who the Breakers are chasing.
