The Breakers have slipped to a 90-83 Australian basketball league loss to the Gold Coast Blaze.
Adam Gibson propelled the Blaze to victory with nine points, eight rebounds and seven assists in an outstanding defensive display. Kirk Penney top scored with 20 points for the Breakers, despite having to deal with the attention of Gibson for most of the night.
The Breakers remain fifth on the table with nine wins and 10 losses this season. They play matches away in Wollongong on Wednesday and in Perth next Friday.
The win is Gold Coast's 9th in a row at home and propels them back to the top of the league.
