Basketball: Another loss for Breakers

The Breakers have gone down 112-106 in overtime to the Cairns Taipans in a thrilling ANBL game in Cairns last night.

Scores were level at 94-94 when the Taipans' Aaron Grabau sank a three-pointer with two seconds of regular time to spare.

But taking the ball at halfway following a time-out, the Breakers returned fire with Aaron Olsen hitting a return three for the New Zealand-based side in the last second.

The home side were too strong in the period of added time, winning ultimately by 6 points.
