Steven Adams enjoyed his best outing of the new NBA season to help Oklahoma City to a 102-91 win over the Denver Nuggets today.
Adams scored a season-high 13 points to as the injury-stricken Thunder grabbed their first win of the campaign at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma.
Missing star pair Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, the Thunder played their home opener with only an eight-man rotation. But Adams, starting at centre after deposing Kendrick Perkins, helped his side through the injury gloom.
The Kiwi shot six-of-10 from the floor and made one-of-two free throws, also chipping in three rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block.
