Basketball: Wildcats hope to avoid semi upset

North Harbour take on Waikato and Canterbury meet Waikato this weekend in the semifinals, with the big question being - can the high-flying Canterbury Wildcats avoid the fate of last year's top qualifier?

Waikato looked good for the title last year, but were dumped out in the semifinals in an upset by fourth qualifier Nelson.

With Waikato the fourth qualifier this year, they will be after some revenge by turning their own giantkilling act on the Wildcats who have lost just one regular season game this year.
