Basketball: Top player on way to NZ

Australian NBA star Andrew Bogut is coming to New Zealand to play basketball.

He has confirmed he will head into camp with his Australian national teammates in mid-June and play in the trans-Tasman series here in July.

Bogut's Milwaukee Bucks team is one game away from being ousted out of the NBA playoffs.

The Australians have also confirmed frontline overseas players, Chris Anstey and Luke Schenscher will play in New Zealand in July.

The series is part of the build-up to the world championships in Japan in August.
