The Auckland Stars have called in their lawyers after being dumped from the NBL Basketball playoffs.
The club has its attorneys looking at legal avenues, after Basketball New Zealand was forced to expel them from the competition for an unpaid entry fee.
The Auckland Stars maintain owner Tab Baldwin, who has been coaching overseas, has paid the estimated $18,000 fee.
A decision as to what course of action they plan to take is due from the Stars early this evening.
Taranaki is meant to be playing Harbour in the quarter-finals tomorrow, having replaced Auckland.
