Tai Wynyard is reaping the benefits after a year of footing it with some of basketball's future stars.
Wynyard spent a lot of time training with University of Kentucky teammate De'Aaron Fox who is expected to be one of the first players picked during this year's NBA draft.
Wynyard says his agility has improved immensely over the past year.
He says playing against them has upped his foot speed and he's become more aware of his surroundings defensively too.
Wynyard will lead the Junior Tall Blacks at July's under 19 world championships in Egypt.
