The Australian National Basketball League is wasting its time if it hopes the Wellington Saints are still interested in entering a team in the league.
Saints CEO Nick Mills says to hear Aussie Basketball boss Larry Sengstock suggest further expansion into New Zealand is still an option is disappointing, considering how they've been stonewalled in the past.
Mills says they sent a delegation to Australia last year but were treated with disdain and now he's unlikely to pursue a spot in the league.
He says the ANBL needs some work and is losing credibility.
Mills says a Wellington team in the Aussie NBL would prove to be a huge asset but as of today they have little interest in joining.
