Basketball: Saints open NZ NBL season with a win

The Wellington Saints have thrashed the Supercity Rangers 116-95 in the opening game of the National Basketball League season.

The Saints never trailed in the game in Wellington and led 60-42 at halftime.

They play the Hawke's Bay Hawks on Sunday.
