The Wellington Saints appear eager to pick over the bones of the departed National Basketball League champions Auckland Pirates.
The Pirates controversially pulled out of the 2013 league last week, saying their financial model was unsustainable.
Saints power forward Casey Frank says it's a shame for the league, but it didn't stop him immediately contacting Lindsay Tait and Dillon Boucher about coming to the capital.
Frank says the pair are likely to have fielded a host of phone calls from different sides, but hopes the Saints appeal to them the most.
Frank says every team in the league would be foolish not to attempt to sign either player.
