Basketball: Quarterfinals spot eludes Breakers

The New Zealand Breakers have missed out on a spot in the quarterfinals of the NBL's pre-season Blitz in Cairns.

The Breakers battled to a 48-45 overtime victory in their final pool clash against West Sydney, but fell just short of the top eight.

Aaron Olson top scored against the Razorbacks with 12 points, while Australian import Ben Pepper chipped in with 11.

The Breakers end the mini tournament with a one win, two loss record.
