New Zealand beat the touring Hungarian men's basketball team 96-86 in Nelson last night to take an unassailable lead in their five-test series.
The victory gave the home side a 3-1 lead, with the fifth match to be played in Christchurch on Friday.
New Zealand led 49-39 at halftime.
Leading New Zealand scorers were Ed Book (20), Phill Jones (16), Kirk Penney (15) and Dillon Boucher (11).
