A Los Angeles Lakers fan had a game to remember after he won $100,000 when he hit a half-court shot during a timeout in Sunday's game with the New York Knicks.
Suni Strong of Lancaster, Calif, told NBC Los Angeles that he knew he'd be a winner as soon as he walked into the arena.
Moments after making his $100,000 shot, Strong said, "When [the Lakers' employee] came up to me, when I first walked in, I said, 'Have my check ready.' I knew I was going to make it. I had to."
The 27-year-old works for SpaceX and also earns a living as a bounty hunter. He told NBC that he played basketball in high school as well as on the open courts of local parks, but that he's been out of practice for a while.
"Man, I've been building rockets, so I haven't had a chance to get to the courts," Strong said.
