Basketball: James reaches NBA milestone

LeBron James, became the youngest player to reach 5000 career National Basketball Association points when he bagged 51 as the Cleveland Cavaliers snapped a six-game losing streak with a 108-90 victory over the Utah Jazz yesterday.

James, who turned 21 on December 30, needed 45 points to pass Kobe Bryant as the youngest player to reach 5000. Bryant was 22 when he scored his 5000th point.
