New Zealand Breakers guard Cedric Jackson has won his second player of the month award in the Australian NBL, further solidifying his strong case for MVP.
Jackson topped the voting for February ahead of fellow American imports Adris Deleon and Jonny Flynn, reclaiming the prize he previously won in November.
Leading the table-topping Breakers to a perfect 3-0 record for the month, Jackson averaged 19 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.3 steals. He leads the league in the latter two categories and is odds-on favourite to claim the MVP award in his second season in the competition.
Jackson's coach, Andrej Lemanis, was pipped to coach of the month honours by Perth's Rob Beveridge, who guided the Wildcats to a 6-1 record in a busy but successful month.
The Breakers look to have an iron grip on top spot in the ANBL, needing just two wins from their remaining four matches to guarantee it. They face Cairns and Melbourne at home, and also have Melbourne and Perth away.
