The Breakers are playing down talk Kevin Braswell's career at the Australian basketball league champions is over.
The off-contract import ruptured the Achilles tendon in his left leg at the weekend and is likely to be unavailable for the start of next season.
Breakers general manager Richard Clarke says they won't make any decisions on their imports until August 1 when Kirk Penney has to make a decision on his playing future.
Clarke says they need to wait until that date and once it passes they'll see where Braswell is at with his rehab.
He says they'll keep in regular contact with Braswell throughout his rehab.
