The Miami Heat have advanced to the Eastern Conference NBA finals today after beating the Boston Celtics 97-87 in game five to win the semifinal series 4-1.
Dwyane Wade scored 34 and LeBron James had 33 as the Heat reached the conference finals for the first time since 2006, when they won the NBA title.
The Celtics held a two point heading into the final quarter before the Heat control of game five outscoring Boston 26-14.
The Heat will play either the Chicago Bulls or Atlanta Hawks in the conference finals. Chicago lead that series 3-2.
