Finn Delany's rise in New Zealand basketball could be about to make another major step.
Having impressed Paul Henare enough to be offered a Breakers contract, Delany is a strong contender to be named in the Tall Blacks squad for the first time.
The 20-year-old is turning in a strong season for the Nelson Giants in the National Basketball League and should be in the mix if Henare takes 14 players abroad in the build-up to the Olympic qualifying tournament.
The Tall Blacks squad to tour Asia and Europe before heading to Manila in July, will be named at midday.
