New Zealand Breakers players Pero Cameron and Iona Enosa have been cited by the Australian National Basketball League (ANBL) after alleged incidents during their 87-69 win over Victoria Giants on Wednesday.
Cameron was charged with striking David Biwer with a forearm to the head, while Enosa was charged with unsportsmanlike behaviour relating to an incident involving opponent Marcus Wright.
ANBL commissioner Rick Burton viewed video of the incidents yesterday and decided to refer both cases to the tribunal.
Both players have until 8pm (NZT) today to decide whether to have the case heard by ANBL tribunal chairman Ken Madsen at a formal hearing, or to have the matter heard via a telephone hook-up.
The Breakers are chasing their fifth straight win when they meet Hunter Pirates in Newcastle tonight.
The citings continue the Breakers' recent brushes with officialdom.
Forward Dillon Boucher was last week handed a two-match ban and a A$1000 ($1150) fine for striking Perth Wildcats player Rashad Tucker.
With four games left, the Breakers sit ninth on the ANBL table, just one place shy of a finals berth.
