New Zealand centre Alex Pledger could be on the Brisbane Bullets' radar once NBL free agency opens today.
It is understood by The Courier-Mail that Pledger along with Australian Boomers trio Adam Gibson, Brock Motum and Cameron Bairstow will be among the top targets for the returning Bullets franchise.
Pledger is a four-time champion with the New Zealand Breakers, winning three consecutive titles under current Boomers head coach Andrej Lemanis between 2011 and 2013. Departing Breakers manager Richard Clarke will also be part of the Brisbane set up next season.
Lemanis will coach the Bullets next season, and has said that the team will look to spend its full $1.1 million dollar salary cap.
"We've got the salary cap to spend. We believe that's enough to go get us a good team," Lemanis said.
