New Zealand Breakers assistant coach Wayne Brown will continue his partnership with head coach Frank Arsego for the next two Australian National Basketball League (ANBL) seasons.
"It's a great opportunity personally and the chance to continue what we've wanted to get done for the club," Brown said in a statement today.
"Frank and I have put a lot of work and effort, along with the players, into setting the high standards we want the Breakers to attain.
"The Breakers proved to be one of the top new franchises in the history of the ANBL in their first season so I can't wait to start on improving on that for season number two."
The Breakers finished 10th out of 13 teams in their debut season, two wins outside making the top-eight playoffs.
Brown said he and Arsego have already formed an excellent working relationship on and off-court.
Arsego said he was delighted to have the chance to work again with Brown.
"I thought we'd made a lot of good development as a coaching duo in a short time this season," Arsego said.
"For a coach like me coming from outside the New Zealand game, it's great to Wayne's knowledge of the local league and New Zealand's basketball culture."
"He will definitely help us evolve as a group over the next couple of seasons."
Brown, who turns 31 tomorrow, will be the head coach of the Manawatu Jets for the upcoming New Zealand NBL season.
Brown's two previous seasons in charge of the Jets have seen him lead them to the playoffs each year.
