Breakers power forward Will Hudson is struggling with a knee injury picked up in the overtime win over Sydney last weekend and is a huge doubt for Friday night's match with Wollongong in Auckland.
The table-topping Breakers have had a reasonably good run with injuries this season and, on top of that, have arguably the deepest roster of any team in the competition. The likes of Alex Pledger, Dillon Boucher and Mika Vukona are likely to have to play extra minutes in Hudson's absence.
Hudson had a scan on his injured knee yesterday and is due to see the surgeon this afternoon but coach Andrej Lemanis isn't expecting him to play this week.
"He's definitely out this week, based on what our physio is telling us but until you get the scans back and have a look at it I can't speculate too much on recovery time,'' Lemanis said.
"We will find out in due course."
