Gilbert Arenas scored 43 points as the surprising Washington Wizards improved to 5-1 with a 110-95 win over the San Antonio Spurs in Washington yesterday.
Arenas finished 15-for-20 and made 11 of his first 12 shots as the Wizards handed the defending NBA champion (5-2) just their second loss of the season.
New Zealand's Sean Marks made his second appearance of the season for the Spurs, having played in the 103-82 defeat of Boston a day earlier.
He scored one point in his 14 minutes against the Celtics but was scoreless in three minutes against the Wizards.
