Steven Adams has enjoyed his best preseason performance to date, recording a double-double as his Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the New Orleans Pelicans today.
Coming off the bench, Adams took only 20 minutes to reach double figures in both points and rebounds at the Bank of Oklahoma Center, eventually finishing with 15 boards and 10 points on five-of-seven shooting.
The No 12 pick in this year's NBA Draft pulled down nine rebounds at the defensive end and six off the offensive glass, while also chipping in with two assists and a block.
The seven-footer recorded a plus-minus - measuring an individual player's impact on the score during his time on the court - of plus-11 in 34 minutes, a mark which was a game-high.
Adams was initially tipped to begin the NBA regular season in the development league, but his play in the preseason has presented his case for beginning with the big league club.
