Baksetball: Cougars pull out of NBL

The Christchurch Cougars have been forced to pull out of the 2011 NBL.

The Cougars were all set for the season before the earthquake struck the city two weeks ago.

Cougars CEO and founder Amy Gardiner says with all their sponsors completely out of action, it wasn't going to work.

She says they've had a hard time to know what to put first but people are more important than basketball.

Gardiner says they will be back in 2012 but at the moment the focus is on trying to get everyone back on their feet.
