Basketball: LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball reportedly sign with Lithuanian club Prienu Vytautas

Eccentric sports dad Lavar Ball has stayed true to his word of searching out an overseas basketball team to take on sons LiAngelo and LaMelo.

ESPN reported the pair have signed one-year deals with Lithuanian club Prienu Vytautas, with the club hoping the signings would be a marketing boon.

The Ball brothers will join Prienu Vytautas, often called BC Prienai, in January.

The team started the season losing eight of its first 12 games in the Lithuanian League, but were 4-1 in the Baltic League. While the Balls were not expected to see much time on the floor in the Lithuanian League, the team had reportedly discussed roles of 20-25 minutes per game each in the Baltic League.

With eldest brother Lonzo playing in his rookie year with the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA, the moves means all three brothers will be in the professional ranks after LiAngelo and LaMelo both withdrew from their respective schools.

LiAngelo (19) was taken out of UCLA after being arrested for shoplifting on a team trip to China, while LaMelo (16) dropped out of junior high school.

After signing with an agent, both players were no longer eligible to play at the collegiate level, but will now meet the one-year out of high school requirement to declare for the NBA draft.
