The NZ Diamondblacks looked impressive in an 11-2 win over top ranked Sydney club side Baulkham Hills in a World Baseball Classic Qualifier warm-up match at Blacktown International Sportspark.
The Boyce brothers Jimmy and Joe both pitched two scoreless innings to start the game while the bats of Scott Campbell and Max Brown, in particular, came alive with both getting multiple hits.
"It was great to see the guys really get amongst it tonight," said manager Chris Woodward after the game.
"After a very scratchy first outing the night before, the team were keen to put up a good performance, and they did just that," the former Major League player said.
The team has its first workout on the main tournament stadium this afternoon with another tomorrow before Thursday's WBC opener against South Africa.
