Baseball: Richmond's rookie award

New Zealand pitcher Scott Richmond's efforts in helping the Toronto Blue Jays stay top of the American league in Major League Baseball were recognised this week with the rookie of the month award.

Richmond, Canadian-born but a New Zealand citizen through his Auckland father, became the first New Zealander to play in the major league last year.
