Baseball: Record suspension for throwing bat

Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball prospect Delmon Young was suspended for 50 games without pay by the International League yesterday for throwing his bat at an umpire and hitting him in the chest.

It was the longest recorded suspension in the league's 123-year history.
