Baseball: Hoffman saves the day (again)

Pitcher Trevor Hoffman became major league baseball's all-time saves leader as the San Diego beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1 yesterday.

The 38-year-old Hoffman passed Lee Smith with his 479th save and 43rd in 48 opportunities this season to earn a place in the record books.
