The Auckland Tuatara will welcome back some familiar faces in their second Australian Baseball League season, with Darren Bragg and D.J. Carrasco joining the coaching staff.
Bragg, a former outfielder with the Boston Red Sox, will return to his role as hitting coach with the Tuatara - a post he held during the team's inaugural season. Carrasco, who pitched in Major League Baseball for nine seasons across five clubs, will take the reins as the team's pitching coach.
Carrasco was initally expected to man the position in the team's inaugural season but did not end up making the trip over as Cola Yeh coached the pitchers.
The 41-year-old is also expected to be available to pitch for the franchise in either a starting role or in relief.
Carrasco and Bragg join manager Steve Mintz on the coaching staff.
