New Zealand continued its domination over Australia in badminton with the Northern New Zealand No 1 team winning the final of the under 19 Australian C P Maddern team championships in Ballarat, Victoria today.
Northern NZ, led by William Bok, Emma Rodger and Clare Chapple faced Victoria No 1 in a final after both sides had dominated their opposition on the way to the trophy playoff.
After 16 individual matches in the final the scores were locked at eight a piece with the New Zealanders winning 20 games to 18 after a countback.
New Zealand team playoff results:- Central NZ 9 South Australia 7, Northern NZ 2, 13 Tasmania 3, Presidents Australia 10 Mainland NZ 6.
