New Zealand's Olympic badminton duo of Sara Runesten Petersen and Dan Shirley beat their British rivals Robert Blair and Natalie Munt in a practice match yesterday in Milton Keynes, north of London, where they are having their final pre-Olympic tune-up.
Despite suffering from jet lag, the New Zealanders turned the tables on their opponents, who won in three sets in Kuala Lumpur on June 30. In their second game, Runesten Petersen and Shirley lost in three sets to world No 4-ranked Britons Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms.
