Javier Gomez, of Spain, timed his final sprint to win the fifth round of the world championship triathlon series at London yesterday, finishing ahead of Jonathan Brownlee, of Britain, and overall leader Jan Frodeno of Germany.
The best of the New Zealanders was Clark Ellice who was 17th in 1h, 43m, 43s.
