Jonah Lomu has linked with former Olympic sprint champion Linford Christie to fast-track his rugby renaissance.
The former All Black turned to the 1992 Olympic 100m gold medallist in a bid to recapture his speed.
Lomu this month made his return to rugby after recovering from a kidney transplant. He has twice turned out for the Cardiff Blues against Italian opponents Calvisano.
He and Christie held their first training session on Sunday and will continue to work together over the coming weeks.
"I met Linford a few years ago when we were both doing promotional work," Lomu told British media.
"We've kept in touch and he kindly offered to help me out with his expertise."
