Graeme Taylor, a former rugby coach, policeman and now chief executive of Sport and Recreation Wanganui, is the new chief executive of the Halberg Trust.
He replaces Dave Currie, who has resigned after 16 years with the trust to concentrate on his position as chef de mission for next year's Commonwealth Games and the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Taylor has worked in rugby administration in Wales and Ireland.
