New Zealand decathlete Brent Newdick won silver at the World University Games in Serbia yesterday. Newdick notched a personal best 7874 points. The event was won by Belarussia's Mikalai Shublanok with a total of 7960 points, with Hungary's Attila Szabo third on 7748. New Zealand will also be looking to score another medal through Olympian Stuart Farquhar in today's men's javelin final.
